10a In Poster 1 there are some people who are standing (stand) inside a shopping basket. I think (think) it shows the idea of being trapped by shopping very well. It is (be) saying that we seem (seem) to not understand (not/understand) that we are in a cage. It’s simple but quite a powerful message.

Poster 2 looks (look) quite good, but I’m not sure what it is (is) trying to say. It’s obviously based on the Tetris video game, and the four blocks at the top that say ‘buy’ clearly fit (fit), but I’m not sure it would make me want to stop shopping. I definitely prefer (prefer) the first one.

The above verb forms are all present simple tense. The present simple tense is used to describe habits, routines, and facts that are always true. It is also used to talk about general things that are happening now, or things that are happening right now.
